Sagong Hye-ran and Kim Joon-young, who gave birth to five twins through natural pregnancy for the first time in Korea, shared their honest stories about childbirth and parenting.

On the 28th, tvN 'You Quiz on the Block', Sa Gong Hye-ran and Kim Joon-young, who gave birth to five twins through natural pregnancy for the first time in Korea, appeared to tell the story of childbirth and realistic parenting. They are the first protagonists in Korea to give birth to quintuplets through natural pregnancy in September last year. On this day's broadcast, the appearance of the quintuplets 'Odoongyi', who went out for the first time in about eight months and 240 days of age, was revealed, drawing the attention of viewers.

Yoo Jae-seok introduced their story, saying, "These five twins are about one in 65 million in terms of probability, and they are very rare in Korea as well as in the world." In response, Cho Se-ho said "Is there a secret to a natural pregnancy?" and his father Kim Joon-young said "It is not a test tube or artificial insemination, but it induces ovulation." I tried it that day because there was a set date," he answered honestly, drawing laughter.

In a rather embarrassing atmosphere, Yoo Jae-seok turned the topic around, saying, "Aren't the five children all different in personality?" and her mother, Sagong Hye-ran, said, "Five people have different charms."," he said, introducing the characteristics of each child.

However, Sagong Hye-ran recalled the case of a 'military couple' who were pregnant with quadruplets and became a hot topic before she became pregnant, saying, `I can't do that when I look at their belly.' I thought about it, but in the end, it became my own."

In particular, Sagong Hye-ran said "How did you feel when you were first told that you were a five-twin boy?" and added "The doctor said it was triplets and quadruplets, so I said 'What?screamed ' Of course, I thought it was one person. But I finally saw five, so I confirmed the existence of the quintuplets."

Realistic concerns were also high. Kim Jun-young said "It was hard to accept reality. At that time, I lived in a studio apartment, and I was so scared of financial problems. We cried every night for two weeks." Sagong Hye-ran also recalled the time, saying, `I cried because I was so scared on the way home from the hospital, and when I got home, my husband cried a lot.'

In particular, Sagong Hye-ran, who is 151 centimeters tall, said "I actually thought it was difficult even for twins. I didn't think I could handle it. The hospital also worried about 'Consider the selective legacy'. The fourth was also weak in the sound of the heart," he said, describing his troubled moment.

Kim Joon-young said "Actually, I didn't say much at the time. Even if I didn't say anything, I could feel what I was worried about. I cried a lot because I was scared because my wife was having a hard time no matter what choice I made," he recalled.

Although parents-in-law also carefully recommended a selective miscarriage, the couple was consulted with Professor Jeon Jong-kwan, an authority in the field of multiple births before the decision.

Sagong Hye-ran "I prepared a selective legacy and looked at the professor, and (the professor) 'I can do it all even if my mother is small. If the mother doesn't believe in the babies, who can. When I heard that one word, I thought I should trust the baby." Kim Joon-young also said "Think of it as a seller". From then on, I'm going to save the kids'. "Let's watch" he said.

Afterwards, Sagong Hye-ran decided to have all five children, but the pregnancy process was not smooth. By the fifth month of pregnancy, the stomach had swollen like full term, vomited three to four times a day at 18 weeks, and suffered severe indigestion from the 20th week. It was hard to even walk after 23 weeks.

Sagong Hye-ran said "The speed of getting full was so fast that when I woke up, my stomach was out. The five of us grew up at once, so we threw up when we ate it. I couldn't even walk beyond a couple of weeks."

Eventually, he aimed for 27 weeks, but he couldn't fill the day and went into early surgery 26 weeks later. "My hands and feet were swollen and my lungs were filled with water, so I couldn't stop coughing."," he said.

Recalling the time of childbirth, Sagong Hye-ran said "I started the surgery under anesthesia, but when I heard my first son crying, I cried with relief that he was alive." Seeing the children for the first time two days after giving birth, he said "I cried the moment I saw them because they were so small," Kim Jun-young said "There are more than 20 diseases that premature babies can suffer from." Since there are five people, there are 10 to 20 consent forms each." he said, explaining the urgent situation at the time.

Even the children all needed surgery. Sagong Hye-ran "I would have grown up comfortably and well in my stomach, but I'm sorry and feel guilty that I made her suffer as soon as she was born because she came out without growing enough and struggled to survive on her own. I was sorry because a large needle was stuck in a body that was too small. He was born so small that he became emotional.

About six months after giving birth, all five children were discharged from the hospital, and seven families were able to gather together. Although the two struggled with real problems, not only difficult parenting but also economic problems, they expressed their feelings that "My heart feels full like a barn."

In particular, the two, who are currently working as educational officials, said they continued to raise children with the help of state vouchers and various companies, saying they quickly became low-income households from a two-person household to a seven-person household.

Finally, when asked how they want their children to grow up, the couple said, "I just want them to grow up healthy."," he said in unison, expressing his sincere wishes.
