The late Kang Ji-yong debuted as a professional soccer player after being drafted by the Pohang Steelers through the 2009 K League Draft.




Kang Ji-yong, who played for Pohang for three years, moved to Busan I'Park in 2012 and later retired in the 2022 season after playing for Bucheon FC, Gangwon FC, Incheon United, and Gimpo FC.
