Prosecutors asked the court to sentence Kim Tae-yi to two years in prison at a hearing on charges such as dangerous driving injuries under the Specific Crime Weighted Punishment Act held at the Seoul Central District Court on the 12th. He demanded a fine of 5 million won for his friend A (30), who said he drove instead to hide Kim Tae-i's drunk driving.
Kim Tae-i's lawyer said "At the time, while waiting for a chauffeur, I was unable to tolerate the parking request and moved the vehicle for a while"After the accident, he actively assisted the victim and disposed of the vehicle to an acquaintance to block the possibility of recidivism."`` he pleaded for leniency. Kim Tae-yi also said, `I will reflect on this incident for the rest of my life, and I will make sure that it will never happen again," he bowed his head.
Kim Tae-yi is suspected of injuring a passerby while driving drunk with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.15% in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 5 a.m. on September 15 last year. The victim reportedly suffered a two-week bruise, and Kim Tae-yi admitted to driving under the influence of alcohol in a police investigation immediately after the accident.
Meanwhile, Kim Tae-yi has continued her activities by appearing in dramas 'Hospital Ship' in the past, and has gained public recognition by appearing in the TVing entertainment 'Transfer Love2' in 2022.
