Kang Soo-yeon passed away on May 7, 2022. He was 56. The deceased was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and was taken to a hospital, but he closed his eyes three days later.
The story of Kang Soo-yeon's sudden death was also revealed through KBS2 medical storytelling entertainment program "Secrets of a Celeb Soldier", which aired last month. Kang Soo-yeon complained of a headache before her death and fell asleep after vomiting. The family was relieved to see them snoring, but it suddenly led to their deaths. At the time of examining Kang Soo-yeon, who was brought to the emergency room, the doctor cited the cause of death as 'cerebral hemorrhage due to ruptured brain aneurysms'. Dr. Lee Nak-jun, the cast member, said "My family provided me with a medical examination result sheet, and I was in good health with no signs of cerebral hemorrhage. Brain aneurysms have no symptoms, so they are called a 'time bomb in the head.'"
Kang Soo-yeon was born in 1966 and debuted as a child actor in 1969 at the young age of three, and worked in the film industry for about 50 years. He emerged as a youth star through the films 'Sesame Salt and Oktaeme' and the drama 'High School Student Diary' and after becoming an adult actor, he won the Best Female Popularity Award and the Best Actress Award at the Daejong Film Festival 'We're Going to Geneva Now'.
