Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul said on the 8th that it sent Yoo Jae-hwan to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office without detention in March.
Yoo Jae-hwan is accused of defrauding 1.3 million won in the name of labor costs in March 2022 when he said he would compose for free through the first phase of the composition project.
Victim A filed a complaint against Yoo Jae-hwan in late May last year on charges of fraud, saying that he had deposited the money, but Yoo Jae-hwan recruited the second period without completing the first period.
Another 23 victims sued Yoo in August last year for fraud, claiming that he used a 'spinning method of receiving payment in advance and delivering the same song as the one he had already released to another client.
Yoo Jae-hwan reportedly pocketed 55 million won in the name of production costs.
In response, Yoo Jae-hwan "I sincerely apologize to those who suffered damage due to irresponsible behavior. It is true that there was a health problem due to a number of personal things overlapping, but it was not intentionally intended to cause financial damage. We have done our best to refund the money so far, and if you need to get it back financially, please contact us separately and we will reimburse you after checking the facts.'
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul decided not to send the case in January due to lack of evidence.
Yoo Jae-hwan responded, `Because of me, those who applied for a free songwriting project with a rich dream, those who helped me in times of need, etc., I will refund and pay back all those who thought I owed money. "Whatever business it is or whether it is a music business, I will collect it without spending any money and return it to you."
However, the victims' solidarity raised an objection, and this case was judged to be a separate case and was transferred to the prosecution. It is known that Yoo Jae-hwan has not yet reimbursed the victims, and social media has also been closed.
