Colleagues and fans are increasingly saddened by his sudden sad news, which has been on the stage for decades and has crossed into movies, dramas, and OTT.
Song Young-gyu was found dead in a vehicle in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, at around 8 a.m. on the 4th. There was no suicide note at the scene, and no allegations of murder were found. Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the death.
Born in 1970, he graduated from Seoul National University of Arts with a major in theater and debuted in 1994 with the children's musical "Mutal Dosa". He is a veteran actor who has been silently walking his way for nearly 30 years with director Jang Jin and director Jang Hang-joon, Jung Woong-in, Jang Hyun-sung, and Kim Jin-soo, who are in the same class as Seoul National University of Arts in 1989.
The Seoul Metropolitan Musical Troupe laid the foundation by appearing in 'Les Misérables'An Jung-geun'Jekyll & Hyde'Seagull' and later expanded its scope to CRT and screen. He performed an impressive supporting role in the films 'Public Enemy2'Wish'Goes to the End'VIP'Happiness Land'. However, in June, he was caught by police for drunk driving and investigated, and as it was belatedly known in late July, he got off the play `Shakespeare in Love.' SBS 'Tri' and ENA 'I Shopping' also announced that they would edit the appearance, but he died soon after.
The mortuary was set up in Room 1 of the funeral hall of Davos Hospital in Yongin, and the coffin is set at 8 a.m. on the 6th. The burial site is Hambaek Mountain Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
