According to the police on the 12th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul is investigating after receiving a complaint from the composer A in November last year that they copied the song without his consent.
Mr. A is said to have claimed that YG Entertainment violated the copyright law, producing, distributing, and distributing G-Dragon's album 'Shine a light' after arbitrarily changing the song name to 'G-DRAGON' without his consent.
After investigating those involved in the case, the police reportedly raided YG Entertainment's office and the Korea Music Copyright Association in Gangseo-gu twice.
A police official said, `The investigation is currently underway and we cannot confirm the details of the investigation.'
In this regard, YG Entertainment explained that it only confused the notation of two songs with the same title in preparation for G-Dragon's solo performance in 2009, but did not copy the sound source without permission.
