Kang Lin (real name Kang In-gu), a musician who was from the group E.O.S. and introduced the Euro techno genre to the public in the early 1990s, has passed away. He was 58 years old.
According to an exclusive report by Financial News, Kang Lin was found dead at a hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 31st of last month. Police said there were no signs of murder, and the exact cause of death is unknown.
Kanglin is a three-member group E.O. that debuted in 1993.As a member of S, he worked with vocalist Kim Hyung-joong and guitar Ko Seok-young, leaving a number of hit songs such as 'Dream, Fantasy, and Illusion', 'You're Not Others', and 'Each Path'.
The deceased participated as a keyboardist in the first album and was in charge of producing the second and third albums.
E.O. at the time.S gained popularity by performing original music based on Euro techno sound, which was unfamiliar to the Korean pop music industry.
Since then, Kang Lin formed Lynx (Lynn O&X) in 1995 and continued his activities. He later became a producer of Yedang Sound and contributed to the music industry by producing albums such as Marie Jane and Zett.
