The head of Odor has changed.

Odor announced on the 20th that it has appointed Vice President (VP) Dokyung Lee as its new CEO.

As for the background of the new CEO's appointment, Audor explained that it is aimed at operating as a label that plans and manages artists' activities such as albums and performances.




Earlier in August last year, Adore appointed Kim Joo-young, a human resources management expert, to normalize the organization and management through the separation of production and management and the appropriate deployment of human resources. The board of directors judged that the original goal was achieved and decided to appoint a new representative familiar with label management practice to promote the growth of his artists and labels, and to enter an operating system that can support artists' activities and promote businesses quickly.

Adore is currently in conflict with his group Newzins over an exclusive contract. In November last year, Newzins declared its independent activities, saying that the exclusive contract was terminated due to the violation of the contract. In response, Adore filed an injunction against the members, including a lawsuit to verify the validity of the exclusive contract, preserving the status of an agency, and prohibiting the conclusion of an advertising contract. Newzins' independent activities were banned as the court cited all of Adore's applications for provisional injunction. However, Newzins is still in the position of not being able to return to the door.




In the recent adjustments related to exclusive contracts, Audor offered a hand of reconciliation to the members, but the members still insisted on the return of former CEO Min Hee-jin. Eventually, the adjustment broke down and a second adjustment is scheduled for next month. In the meantime, Adore's appointment of a new representative optimized for practice is also interpreted as a measure to persuade the members of Newzins, who have pointed out production problems due to the absence of former representative Min.

Attention is focusing on whether Odor's decision will open the door to reconciliation with Newzins.
