 Cha Joo-young and Seo Kyung-duk join hands to announce the '80th anniversary of Gwangbok' anti-Japanese heritage...the history of the righteous army delivered by voice



Actor Cha Cha-young and Sungshin Women's University professor Seo Kyung-duk launched a campaign to highlight anti-Japanese cultural heritage to commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation.

On the 5th, the two released a multilingual promotional video 'Anti-Japanese Heritage with Light' produced with the National Heritage Administration. The video is about 4 minutes and 30 seconds long and is produced in both Korean and English versions, conveying the spirit of anti-Japanese and the meaning of liberation to domestic and foreign Internet users at the same time.

The video included the activities of the righteous army during the Japanese colonial era and 13 'Documents related to the righteous army at the end of the Joseon Dynasty' proving it. In particular, the story of Lee Beom-jin, who committed suicide after giving all his fortune to the righteous army, and the diplomatic history of the Korean Empire are also highlighted.




Professor Seo Kyung-duk, who was in charge of the project, organized a series of video campaigns on the cultural heritage of the anti-Japanese independence movement to mark the 80th anniversary of liberation""We plan to meet with domestic and foreign visitors with a dual project that leads to online content and offline exhibitions.""

Cha Joo-young participated in this video narration and said "It is meaningful to be able to convey the anti-Japanese cultural heritage with your voice. I hope many people will reflect on the meaning of liberation through this video."

The campaign's related exhibition, 『Anti-Japanese Heritage with Light』, will be held from Aug. 12 to Oct. 12 at the Dondeokjeon Hall of Deoksugung Palace in Seoul. Real materials and cultural heritage related to the contents of the video are displayed and can be viewed by anyone.
