According to local media such as AFP on the 13th (local time), a Hong Kong court fined Kenshin 15,000 Hong Kong dollars (about 2.63 million won) on charges of forced harassment.
Kenshin was arrested on March 4 for sexually harassing a female interpreter by touching her thighs and asking her to accompany her to the bathroom at an after-party of a Hong Kong fan meeting.
He denied all charges at a trial in April. The lawyer appealed that "in return for this case, we have already charged a penalty of approximately HK$3 million (W520 million)."
However, the Hong Kong court said "The defendant's actions are clearly a disregard for women. If the victim hadn't bravely reported it, he would have had to live with painful memories alone.
Kenshin debuted in 2018 as a six-member boy group one and only. However, in the aftermath of the incident, the agency terminated the contract with Kenshin and withdrew him from the group.
