Sean Completes 81.5km Liberation Day Run, Donates 2.3 Billion Won

This year, 19,450 individual participants, the highest number ever, were recruited in 24 days.
Despite the August heat, Sean completed the 81.5km race in 7 hours, 50 minutes and 22 seconds. 4,000 offline participants ran with Sean at Seoul World Cup Park and celebrated the meaning of Liberation Day by watching a special concert involving Sean and Sohyang.
Donations from 110 sponsoring companies, including North Face and Miracle 365, and the entire participation fee of 19,450 individual participants were donated to Habitat Korea. A total of 2.38 billion won in donations will be used to improve the residential environment for families of descendants of independence fighters.
Sean said, "Starting the Liberation Day morning with an 81.5-km run is my gratitude to the independence fighters and their descendants. Thank you to all the runners who shared their hearts."," he said.
Sean has been conducting a campaign to improve the residential environment for descendants of independence fighters on March 1 and Liberation Day every year through '8.15 Run' since 2020 and '3.1 Run' since 2021. With the donations collected so far, it has dedicated a new home to the 19th generation of descendants of independence fighters, and is currently building its 20th to 22nd house.
Meanwhile, Sean is leading the way in the formation of various donation cultures with 'Good Learning'. It has a good influence, including the improvement of housing for descendants of independence fighters, donations of pictorial profits, support for children at home and abroad, support for the construction of a rehabilitation hospital for children, volunteer activities for briquettes delivery, and the establishment of the world's first Lou Gehrig nursing hospital.
