JTBC's new Friday series 'My Youth' (scripted by Park Si-hyun, director Lee Sang-yeop and Ko Hye-jin, courtesy SLL, production by Ha Ji-eum Studio), which will premiere on September 5 (Friday), raises expectations by releasing a still from the character of 'Sunwoohae' (played by Song Joong-ki).
'My Youth' depicts an emotional romance between Sun Woo-hae, who started his normal life later than others, and Sung Je-yeon (played by Chun Woo-hee), who has to unexpectedly break the peace of her first love. The journey of reclaiming the forgotten piece of 'I' through a reunion with my first love, who gave me a brilliant moment in a dark and shadowy place, gives me excitement in a warm smile. Director Lee Sang-yeop, who has been loved for his delicate productions with different emotional depths such as the series of "Yumi's Cells" and "Knowing Wife" and writer Park Si-hyun, who showed sensuous writing skills with "Run On", are in sync to raise expectations.
In the meantime, Sunwoo-hae, surrounded by flowers in the released photo, catches the eye. Sunwoo Hae, a florist from a child star who burned down his prime too quickly, started his normal life later than others. The daily life of going around the flower market at dawn and trimming potted plants during the day is a peaceful happiness itself for Sun Woo-hae, who spent his youth in dark and deep cracks. Sun Woo-hae's calm smile in the picture makes us even more curious about his life story that he built his life firmly on the wound. For him, the appearance of his 19th first love 'Sung Je-yeon' brings about an unexpected and noisy change. It also adds to the question of why Sun Woo-hae, a novelist, hides his name and lives in a veil
Song Joong-ki felt warm as soon as he read the script "My Youth" as to why he chose "My Youth". I liked the warm melodrama and the story of people I haven't seen in a long time. Unlike the existing characters who had strong fantasy elements, the character 'Sunwoohae' who stuck to reality touched deeply, raising expectations.
Meanwhile, JTBC's new Friday series 'My Youth', which opens the weekend, will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on September 5 (Friday), and will be broadcast twice consecutively every Friday.
