Jang Sung-kyu spoke about his feelings with announcer Kang Ji-young of the 14 years of friendship in the T-Cast E-Channel's Bite and Bite General Knowledge Chart Show from 'One to Ten' and his true feelings after becoming a freelancer.

Recalling his first meeting with Kang Ji-young in his early 20s, MC Jang Sung-kyu of 'From One to Ten' looked back on how an unadulterated 23-year-old college student competed boldly with his sisters and brothers and overcame them. Q. You two have known each other for a long time, from the motivation of joining the company to the pre-declaration, are co-MCs for the first time in 14 years. Please tell us how you feel.
: First of all, I'm really happy to be with Jiyoung. I'm grateful for the fact that I'm still active in the broadcasting industry, which has not been easy for 14 years, and I feel new. When I first saw Ji-young in the audition program, I was 23 years old, and now I am married and working well as an opinion leader, so I feel more special and happy to be with her.
Q. You know each other very well during their 'Newborn' days, and I wonder what your first impressions were 14 years ago and what you think of each other now.
: The first impression was that Ji-young was almost the youngest out of 5,500 applicants for the audition program. All of the friends who were preparing for the announcer at the time prepared clothes, makeup, and hairstyles like announcers, and Ji-young was on stage in jeans, modest clothes, and almost bare-faced. It was really cool to see a 23-year-old college student competing boldly with her sisters and brothers and overcoming them. Now, I feel my skills and relaxation, and in some ways, I'm showing myself more mature than I am. I want to learn from Ji-young while we are together, and there are many things I'm looking forward to seeing how much better I'll show in the future.
Q. What do you think is the attraction of "one to ten" different from existing knowledge ranking shows?
: As a broadcaster who joined the company and has been a broadcaster for 14 years, I think that itself can give great freshness. It is a program that introduces various foods from around the world, not just ranking them in Korea on one topic, so it can be practically helpful for viewers to choose travel destinations and food. I hope the charm that connects with real life shines greatly.
Q. When did you feel reassured during the recording of "'From One to Ten'?
: I relied on Jiyoung a lot from the teaser recording and I felt reassured. Throughout the recording, I felt that 14 years of accumulation were a great help without realizing it, thanks to the chemistry that fits when you pretend.
Q. What was the most impressive moment of each other's careers as 'the motivation for debut'?
: It was impressive to see Kang Ji-young wearing glasses and asking sharp questions to politicians at political meetings, but sometimes disarming the other person's mind with an eye smile. The ability to draw answers that wouldn't have come out if I had asked them was outstanding.
Q. What makes you feel different from when you were an announcer at a broadcasting station while working as a freelancer?
: I've been working as a freelancer and thankfully for the last five or six years, but I've always tried not to let my guard down with anxiety that it might end in a moment. Unlike when I was an office worker, my income increased as I became a freelancer with a fee, but when I felt insufficient during the recording, I went home and couldn't sleep at night in agony. We are determined to make up for the shortcomings and show better performance to broadcasting officials and viewers by using such time as two parts.
Q. Is there any advice you want to give to Kang Ji-young as 'Free Senior'?
: I think Ji-young is now a good person who doesn't need someone's advice. I'm just rooting for you to spread your thoughts and center without shaking.
Q. If there's anything you can do better than Kang Ji-young?
: Since I'm older than Ji-young, I think I'll be a little better at making old man jokes and working hard.
Q. Is there anything you want to say to the viewers of "From One to Ten"?"
: I hope that our Kang Ji-young and Jang Sung-gyu 'Jiyang Kangjangje' will be a small help to the viewers. In order for this planning intention to be well communicated, I think you should watch it in real time. Season 1 is prepared in 10 episodes, so I'd appreciate it if you could enjoy it from episodes 1 to 10.
Jang Sung-kyu & Kang Ji-young's Biting Miscellaneous Knowledge Chart Show 'From One to Ten' will premiere on the T-Cast E Channel at 8 p.m. on September 29 (Mon).
Meanwhile, Jang Sung-kyu, a former JTBC announcer, was listed as a building owner in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul after declaring freelancing. The current market price of the building, which was purchased for 6.5 billion won at the time of purchase in 2021, is estimated to be more than 10 billion won.
