Jun.K Opens Up About Joining JYP



Group 2PM Jun K revealed the behind-the-scenes story of joining JYP.

SBS Power FM (107.7 MHz) 'Dear my museum' (hereinafter 'Cultwo Show'), which aired on the 6th (Sat), featured 2PM Jun-K who returned with the new album 'Dear my museum' and the title song 'R&B ME'. Jun.K was joined by creator Lalalal and singer Kim Tae-hyun in the corner of 'Love Culta'

Regarding the new song 'R&B ME', Jun-K explained that it is a love song with the meaning of "Ride with me, Be with me" in synth-pop genre, a comfortable song with easy listening". As for the background of the top-down in the music video, "I was born as 2PM, so I am misunderstood that I have a good body. It's been 17 years since our debut, but I thought I should show you a little bit as 2PM" he said.




Jun-K drew attention by saying that he joined JYP as the No. 1 player after breaking through the competition ratio of '1600 to 1'. Even Jun-K, who was accepted to YG and JYP at the same time, commented "I originally wanted to be a composer". He then said, "'I heard that I was a good singer, so I sang it, but Jinyoung picked it for me.'" He added, "'At first, I was not interested in dancing at all, but after joining the company, I suddenly started dancing.'"

Jun-K also made his name as a composer by hitting 2PM's 'My House'. Many JYP artists have been working on songs, but Jun-K's "Isn't It Crazy" was the first time the artist's song was selected as the title song, drawing attention. Jun-K recalled the time when "Isn't It Crazy" came out, crying while talking to his mother on the phone. "There was a lot of opposition at home, but my mother cheered for me."

Meanwhile, Jun.K, who has been with JYP for 21 years, said, `I went to Jinyoung because I thought I should leave because I was there for too long. Thank you for being here, and I hope I can stay here forever.'" he said.
