On the 3rd, the Seoul Western District Court sentenced a 37-year-old man, identified only by his surname Jeong, to two years in prison on charges of theft and night-time home invasion.
Chung is accused of breaking into Park Na-rae's home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on April 4 and stealing money and goods and running away. Some of the stolen goods were disposed of as stolen goods.
Jeong stated that he broke in without knowing the victim's residence at the time of the crime. In addition, Jeong has a history of being caught committing theft at other houses in Yongsan-gu at the end of March.
The court took into account the fact that the defendant admitted the indictment and expressed his intention to turn himself in to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station, and that money and goods were returned to the victim""Even so, considering the fact that the defendant had a similar criminal record, the crime committed during the probation period, the fact that the damaged goods of each crime in this case were quite expensive, and that the victim was making a severe petition for punishment."The reason for the sentencing was revealed.
The court also fined A and B 2 million won and 3 million won, respectively, for taking over stolen goods and being charged with acquiring stolen goods.
Earlier in July, Park Na-rae mentioned the case on MBC FM 'Son Tae-jin's Trot Radio', saying "The criminal was caught and is on trial, and all the stolen goods were returned. That's a relief." "It's a symbolic thing for me. I went around all the used luxury shops in Gangnam."
