NMIX hit major domestic music and music charts with its first full-length album 'Blue Valentine' released on the 13th. The title song 'Blue Valentine' topped the Melon Top 100 chart, the largest music site in Korea, as of 11 p.m. on the 20th. This is NMIX's own record, but it has a special meaning as it exceeds Netflix animation 'K-pop Demon Hunters' OST 'Golden', which has been in power for a long time as the biggest hit this year.
'Blue Valentine' entered the 85th place on the day of its release on the daily chart, but it jumped to 10th place in a week. In addition to Melon, it is gaining popularity as it ranked No. 1 on the daily chart and No. 2 on the weekly chart on the 19th of Bugs. The new album reached the top of the weekly album chart of the Hanteo Chart, an album aggregation site.
Usually, idol album sales are an indicator of fandom's firepower and scale, and music chart performance is interpreted as a standard reflecting popularity. In other words, NMIX can be seen as capturing both popularity and fandom.
From their debut single 'Ad Mare', NMix showed solid singing, performance, and unrivaled music view and received strong support from enthusiasts. However, it is true that the public recognition was relatively weak. However, JYP Entertainment built up its narrative step by step by sticking to NMIX's own 'Mix Pop', and the result came out through this album depicting inevitable conflicts with loved ones and ambivalent feelings of love.
NMIX will open its first world tour 'Episode 1: Zero Frontier' at Incheon Inspire Arena on November 29 and 30. This is the first solo concert in more than three years and nine months since its debut.
