'Tanggeum' tells the story of the missing Joseon's largest successor 'Hongrang'(Lee Jae-wook) returning after 12 years without memory, and the only one who doubts his identity is Lee Bok-nui 'Jae-i(Jo Bo-ah), who waited anxiously for him. The subtle feelings that cross the boundaries of family and the pursuit of truth amid growing suspicions increase tension.
The core of 'Tangeum' is not just the unidentified return, but the emotional line and relationship structure of the characters who are entangled by it. From appearance to habit, 'Hongrang' perfectly matches before his disappearance, but clues about his identity are revealed one by one, causing tension. Jay's complex emotional line, which is wary of him but is gradually attracted, makes viewers fall into the forbidden narrative.
Expectations for acting are also high. Lee Jae-wook reveals the confusion and emotions of Hong-rang, who returned with deep wounds, and Jo Bo-ah delicately expresses her solid beliefs and shaky inner side to lead immersion. In addition, the performance of highly reliable actors such as Jeong Ga-ram (Mujin), Um Ji-won (Min Yeon's role), Park Byung-eun (Shim Yeol-guk), and Kim Jae-wook (Hanpyeong Daegun) add to the density of the play.
The production team is also powerful. Director Kim Hong-sun, who directed 'Son the Guest', 'Voice', 'House of Paper: The Common Economic Zone', etc., was the director, adding sensuous genre production and detailed psychological description. Art with a tranquil Joseon atmosphere, costumes with style and narrative, and OST with Kwon Jin-ah and About complete the immersion of Tangeum.
Above all, 'Tangeum' is expected to attract global viewers in that three completely different genres of mystery, melodrama, and historical drama are organically intertwined and completed with new sensations of content. Netflix's original 'Tangeum', which explodes unidentified return, taboo love, and intertwined desires, will be released simultaneously around the world at 4 p.m. on the 16th.
