'The Haunted Palace' Gains Global Popularity, Ranks Top 4 on Viu in 5 Asian Countries
SBS's Friday-Saturday drama 'Going Palace' succeeded in gaining global popularity by capturing viewers in major Asian countries.

According to the weekly content rankings for the first week of May (April 28 to May 4) released by Asia's largest OTT platform Viu (View) on the 12th, 『The Haunted Palace』 ranked 2nd in Hong Kong and Thailand, 3rd in Indonesia, and 4th in Singapore and Malaysia, making it a top four in a total of five countries.

'Gwigung' is a K-mystery historical drama in which Yeori (Kim Ji-yeon), a shaman who rejected the fate of Young-mae, and Kang Cheol-i (Yook Sung-jae), a weapon embedded in her first love Yun Gap, fight against the royal curse 'Palchuk-gui'. It is receiving favorable reviews from domestic and foreign viewers for its development that combines a unique worldview, mystery, and romance.




The fact that leading actors such as BTOB Yook Sung-jae and former Cosmic Girls Kim Ji-yeon have a solid global fan base is also driving the box office success. In particular, Kim Ji-yeon succeeded in succession with the top 'Pyramid Game' serviced by Viu earlier.

Meanwhile, 'Going Palace' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:55 p.m. on SBS.
