In the 8th episode of 'Guigung', which aired on the 10th, Kang Cheol-i (Yook Sung-jae) and Yeori (Kim Ji-yeon) found out that one of the blind judges wandering the palace was a black screen, and started to track the truth in earnest. In particular, it was shocking to discover that Kim Bong-in (Son Byung-ho) was his maternal grandfather who had been manipulating King Lee Jung (Kim Ji-hoon).
The broadcast on this day ranked first in the same time slot for four consecutive weeks, recording 9.5% of national viewers, 9.1% of the metropolitan area, and 11.3% of the highest viewership based on Nielsen Korea. The 2049 target audience rating also continued with 2.9 percent.
In the play, Kang Cheol-i and Lee Jung-eun suppressed the precious water Makdol (played by Kim Joon-won) after a bloody battle for their lives, and Kang Cheol-i fought to the end, seriously injuring himself to protect Yeo-ri. Yeori tried a Salpuri ritual to save Kang Cheol-yi, and saved him at the moment of crisis. There was a strange tension between Yeori, who hugged Kang Cheol, who survived, and Bibi (Cho Han-gyeol), who watched the two.
Afterwards, Yeori allowed Makdol to pretend to be the one to say goodbye to her daughter. Kang Cheol-i was puzzled by his behavior of only bruising his daughter, but Yeori read the paternal love hidden in it and began to understand the meaning of his maternal grandmother, Neop-deok (Gil Hae-yeon).
The climax was the first scene where Steel confessed his true feelings to Yeori. Steel, who purposely created the opportunity to stay in the inn on a rainy day, said "I don't know if it's because this mind belongs to him or because he's trapped in a human body. But I'm like this, what about you?" he said, confessing that he wondered whether Yeori's laughter was directed at him or at Yoon Gap.
However, Yeori was confused, recalling his feelings for Kang Cheol-yi and memories of his past involvement with the death of his maternal grandmother. After that, he laughed at the man who killed his grandmother in front of his belongings. I thought you were confused, but I'm sorry."
Meanwhile, King Lee Jung-eun launched an investigation to find out the identity of the blind judges in the palace. Pungsan stimulated Lee Jung's trauma by mentioning his octogenarian in the past, and even Kim Bong-in, Lee Jung's closest aide and maternal grandfather, insisted on releasing the judges, adding to the confusion. Lee Jung-eun, who eventually had no choice but to release Pungsan, ordered a more thorough investigation.
In the last scene, Yeori heard from the glow-in-the-dark ear that he had a ceremony to oust the eight-chuck ear in the palace before the death of Neopdeok, and confirmed the truth from Lee Jung that the predecessor was possessed by the eight-chuck ear. As soon as all the truths were revealed, Yeori shed tears and deeply resonated with viewers, saying "Not Kang-chul, but the eight-cheek-gui killed his grandmother."
In addition, it turned out that Kim Bong-in was a real blackout in control of the royal family, and as he pressed Poongsan, a cry that awakened the noble spirits shook the new party with a declaration that `the being who made all plans go wrong.'
