The following is the Q&A with the production team of 'Gaeho Gang' when you leave the house.
1. Please explain why you planned the program and what kind of program it is.
- There are more than 10 million people living with dogs in Korea. The biggest difficulty that so many people actually feel living with their dogs was worrying about 'Puppy that stays home alone when I'm not around'. So what if there was a space where this dog could not be alone, but could be comfortable without a circle?' That's what I thought. That's how the space was created 'Careful Kindergarten'. 'When you go out of the house, 'Gaeho Kang' depicts the process of gathering dogs with various stories in this 'Gaeho Kang kindergarten' to communicate with teachers full of love and grow up. In addition, I would like to send a message to my companion watching this program on how dogs and humans can coexist safely with each other and how to love my dog.
2. He's a teacher of 5 kindergartens for good health.They're together, and I'm curious about what kind of relationship you came to cast and the criteria for casting.
- One thing the cast has in common is 'Truth about the puppy'. Jeon Hyun-moo was already rumored to be one of the leading dog lovers in Korea, and it was impressive to see him return his holiday to abandoned dog service despite his busy schedule. Kang So-ra found out during the meeting, and her father was so serious about dogs that he also got a trainer license. As the CEO of a dog-related business, Han-sun Cho thought she would have a higher understanding of dog culture than anyone else, and she was passionate enough to obtain a license as a pet consignment operation manager for professional dog care while preparing for the program. I thought Park Sun-young was a cat butler, but people around me recommended him a lot, saying, `He's real for his dog.' When I met him in person, he had a special love for all animals, regardless of dogs and cats, and even though he was severely allergic, he took medicine and took care of his pets. In a word, it was really real. Lastly, Ray missed his pet dog living with his parents in Japan. You can't raise a dog yourself due to various circumstances, but the more you do, the more desperate you are, right? I could be sure that he would be a teacher who treats dogs who come to kindergarten more sincerely than anyone else.
3. Here 'trainer' is also noteworthy, so please introduce and show off what kind of people they are.
- For parents (pets) who will attend their precious dogs in the 'Kaeho-gang Kindergarten', we paid most attention to the fact that we have to have the best experts in Korea because our cast members wanted to learn a lot about care for their dogs. Trainer Kim Hyo-jin has not only expertise but also experience in rescuing abandoned dogs, volunteering, and carrying out various activities for adoption, and has sincerely met the students who came to the 'Gaeho Gang when they leave home' to take care of them after filming. Trainer Kim Sung-jin was serious about the training of the performers who will take care of the dog themselves. He showed such passion that he met the performers separately before filming and taught them various training methods. Because of the two of you, I think I was able to capture the five cast members who suddenly became teachers of 'Careful Kindergarten' adapting well and growing up brilliantly.
4. I think it would have been different from the normal shooting site in that you were filming with dogs, but what part did you pay the most attention to while preparing for the shooting?
- As the meetings continued, concerns about safety accidents grew. The production team was most concerned about checking with experts in advance whether dogs are suitable for kindergarten and preparing for stress situations that may occur when dogs film with others and other dogs in unfamiliar spaces for a long time. Even when we went into the actual shooting, professional trainers and veterinary teachers were present on the set 24 hours a day in preparation for any possible situation, and fortunately, we were able to finish well without an accident.
5. Which teacher from 'Kindergarten' was the best at interacting with the dog? If you remember any incidents, please disclose them.
- Kang and his friends all emphasized 1:1 customized care for the dogs they will be in charge of during the pre-meeting. Perhaps that's why everyone showed sympathy with the students in charge. In the case of Park Sun-young, who was a stray dog who could not open his heart except for his guardian, lived together day and night for rapport with 'Loto', and Ray learned the signal from his guardian so that the original student 'Teto' with a hearing impairment could facilitate all activities. What's interesting is that during the pre-meeting, Jeon Hyun-moo said that he had a 'Geromon' that was loved by all dogs, and he had good chemistry with all the students.
6. Who was the mood maker on set?
- Since it is the director's role to check the teachers' conditions, Jeon Hyun-moo worked the hardest to care for the atmosphere of kindergarten. When I had to leave kindergarten due to my busy schedule, I showed up with a bunch of snacks such as donuts and beef to help teachers recharge their energy. But actually, the biggest mood maker of our program was the dogs. Even though I was tired of a long day, there were many moments where I was healed just by looking at my dogs. Not only the cast, but also many staff members melted the fatigue of the puppies' acting cute.
7. It is known that the stories of dogs will also be released. Please tell us a little bit about which puppies' stories will be included, and briefly tell us how you came to cast them.
- Puppies who come to nursing care kindergarten have their own stories, such as 'Lotto', a retired military dog 'Udo', who began his second act of dog life after being discharged from the military after spending his life as a military dog, and 'Kim Yul', who became a super star with huge views on SNS. Although there were concerns about bringing together puppies with different environments and different tendencies, we tried to find more stories so that anyone watching the program could sympathize with and comfort at least one point.
8. Even a spectacular guest lineup has been announced. Please give us a little spoiler on what role the guests will be looking for and what kind of chemistry they can see with their dogs.
- Various figures, such as idols, actors, and athletes who love dogs, visited the nursing care kindergarten. There was also a guardian who came to the teachers' lack of work and took care of the dogs until they were exhausted, and actually left their dogs to a nursing care kindergarten. To add a spoiler, there was a case of these people who couldn't forget their memories and voluntarily revisited.
9. Please tell us one thing to watch and say something to the viewers.
- There is a growth story drawn by various dog students and novice teachers in 'Going out of the house. I hope viewers can heal on a weekend morning when they end their tired week by watching teachers take care of them sincerely and dogs change through their sincerity, just like Won-hoon who said, "People are going to be sick, dogs are going to be healthy."
