Director Lee Seon-jeong said at a press and distribution preview of the movie 'Guitar Man' held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 21st, `I feel sorry and sorry that I cannot be here with Kim Sae-ron.'
「Guitar Man」, which will be released on the 30th, is a movie about the love, loss, and journey of a genius guitarist Ki-chul who tries to find hope through connection with music despite the harsh reality, and director Kim Jong-myeon and Lee Seon-jeong took the megaphone.
'Guitar Man' is also known as Kim Sae-ron's posthumous work. Kim Sae-ron, who was self-reflecting on charges of drunk driving, finished filming 'guitarman' in November last year, but sadly passed away in February this year.
Director Lee said, "(As a film producer) I can't help but feel responsible. Until a few days ago, I was filled with emotions while editing with director Kim.
He then held a meeting to cast Kim Sae-ron, and he knew it was a difficult situation at the time. I told Kim Sae-ron that the movie will be released in May next year, and I hope it will be released until then and then get up again after the self-reflection period. I wanted to keep that promise"So there are some parts that were a little disappointing as I worked too hard on the work. When the movie is released on the 30th, I think it will be revised more. I edited the movie until yesterday, but it was the hardest to see Kim Saeron's face while editing."
Then "I should have spent time sitting here together today, but I'm ashamed and sorry that I came out alone like this."I cried while watching the movie, and even though I watched it more than 1,000 times while editing, I think Kim Sae-ron's story is very sad."
