Kwon Eunbi Makes Japanese Screen Debut in Hideo Nakata’s Final ‘Stolen Identity’ Thriller



Singer and actor Kwon Eun-bi's Japanese screen debut film, "Just dropped her smartphone: The Last Hacker" (directed by Hideo Nakata), has confirmed its release in June.

The accumulated revenue of the series reached 3.5 billion yen in Japan alone, only dropping the smartphone that was a box office hit. The series has been so popular in Korea that it has been remade as a movie of the same name starring Chun Woo-hee, Shim Ji-wan and Kim Hee-won. This work is the final chapter to mark the end, and director Hideo Nakata, who remains a legend in the Asian horror genre with the series "Ring", is back on the megaphone, drawing high expectations.

On top of that, Kwon Eun-bi, who continues her popular moves with the announcement of 'Hello Stranger' and the appearance of 'Water Bomb Seoul 2025', is drawing attention as she attempts her first major role as the heroine Su-min in her screen debut. In the play, Kwon Eun-bi plays Su-min, a member of an anti-government organization and a veiled watcher, revealing her new side as an actor, receiving rave reviews from the director that `Both emotional and physical expressions are excellent.'




In addition, key actors of the series, such as Naritori Ryo, Yudai Chiba, and Kei Tanaka, will rejoin the series to complete the finale of the 'Smartphone' series.

The released main poster catches the eye at once with the fatal look of the escaped genius hacker and serial killer Urano (Naritano). The contrast between Kagaya (Yudai Chiba), a determined-looking detective, and Su-min, a mysterious woman whose inner feelings are unknown, adds to the tension, and the intense main copy of 'Everyone with a smartphone is a target' leaves a strong impression, aiming at the anxiety of everyone living in the digital age.

The main trailer, which was released together, revolves around the three-way structure of Urano, who plots against Korea under the instruction of the anti-government group Mugunghwa, Kagaya, a detective who tracks him, and Su-min, who watches everything. Beyond simple psychological warfare, the prelude to mega-digital terrorism is revealed in earnest, heralding the overwhelming scale and tension of the final chapter of the series.




'I just dropped my smartphone: The Last Hacker' is a story about a genius hacker who escaped from prison sneaks into Korea to prevent summit talks between Korea and Japan, and confronts his arch-nemesis, a detective, again. Narita Ryo, Kwon Eun-bi, and Yudai Chiba appeared, and director Hideo Nakata of 'ring'Death Note L:'New Beginning' took the megaphone. It will be released in June.
