MBC's two-part Friday-Saturday drama 'Main's Haters' (scripted by Kim Dam, directed by Hyun Sol-leaf), which provided laughter, emotion, and even a thrilling catharsis of victory, wrapped up a short but intense journey with enthusiastic reviews after the second episode aired on the 24th (Saturday).
The Big Pandas dramatically succeeded in advancing to the playoffs, and Park Sung-woong and Park Su-oh were reborn as "real friends" who understood each other, completing a warm ending, leaving a deep lingering impression on viewers.
In the last episode, Hwajin (Park Soo-oh)'s trick caused a stir on the court. Ahead of the first game where the fate of advancing to the playoffs is at stake, Hwajin offered to Maeng-gong (Park Sung-woong) to send Min-woo (Oh Hyun-joong) and Jin-ki (Kang Hee-gu) as starters instead of the main players Jun-hyuk (Kim Taek) and Woo-seung (Kwon Joo-seok), leaving a meaningful word "Look for the reason off the court". After much consideration, Maeng-gong followed Hwajin's trick, and the two players led the team to victory with amazing performances. Big Pandas' victory also made her daughter Jae-hee (Park Kyu-bin), who had closed her heart to Maeng-gong, smile brightly.
Ahead of the ensuing game, the onslaught went out to resolve the discord within the team. Maeng-gong, who got a clue from the conversation with Hwajin, gave Jun-hyuk and Woo-seung a special task to think from each other's point of view, and the two solved their old feelings through honest conversations. The Big Pandas, who regained their perfect teamwork, achieved the feat of beating even the No. 1 team.
On the other hand, Hwajin's internal conflict deepened as it got closer to the onslaught. In fact, Hwajin intentionally approached Jun-hyuk, who bullied his brother Woo-jin (Cha Bin), and the onslaught, which seemed to surround him, but became confused when he learned the sincerity and warmness of the onslaught. When Woo-jin, who had lost his words, said "Don't do that because of me", Hwajin burst into tears.
Ahead of the final regular league game and the showdown with Just, his fateful rival, Hwajin advised the onslaught that `The last trick to win is uncle' and that he should be a coach who reads the minds of the players and agonizes together. But the festering conflict broke out. Hwajin and Junhyuk, who happened to meet, got into a fist fight.

On the day of the last game of fate, Maeng-gong apologized to the players that he had not played the role of coach properly. Then "Today I will do my part on the court. Let's win and go to the playoffs!" to lift the team's spirits. However, even in the last game, the championship showed hesitancy at every important moment. In response, the onslaught shot the winner " with confidence. I believe in you,' he said, adding that the courageous win made a dramatic buzzer-beater just before the end of the game, confirming the Big Pandas' advance to the playoffs.
But the onslaught crisis is not over. The photo with Hwajin was distorted and revealed as a tangent to a match fixing broker. The club asked to reveal both the fact that Maeng-gong came to Big Pandas three years ago because of Just's mean media play and that Hwa-jin was a malicious commenter, not a broker, but Maeng-gong decided to carry everything himself in order to protect Just's fans' good memories and to fear that Hwa-jin's identity, who is still a student, will be revealed.
After everything is done, the onslaught tells Hwajin, `I hope you think deeply about how much you like basketball", and advised him to consider the future such as a power analyst. Then "One day, the two of us may become a team"When Hwajin responded brightly to the onslaught's words, "Team Han? That's good." drew warmth. Afterwards, Hwajin changed the channel name of 'AngryMain', which was uploaded only by gathering videos of Maeng-gong's anger, to 'CaptainMain' and introduced 'CaptainMain' as a coach who works with players'. The scene where Maeng-gong talked to Jae-hee on the phone with a bright expression and showed off the channel of CaptainMain gave viewers a warm smile.
As such, 'Main Director's Haters' conveyed the true value of communication and growth beyond misunderstanding and conflict, and the warm comfort of understanding and caring for each other's wounds, leaving a deep lingering impression on viewers. The two-man game between the onslaught and Hwajin, which was short but intense, ended successfully with a pleasant laugh and emotion until the end.
MBC's two-part Friday-Saturday drama 'Director Maeng's Haters' ended on the 24th amid heated reviews.
