'Resident Playbook' Hits Series-High Ratings with Ep.9

Ko Yoon-jung and Jung Joon-won's hearts began to pass on both sides.

In the 9th episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama "Someday the Life of a Korean Major" (hereinafter "Unseuljeon", directed by Kim Song-hee, and directed by Lee Min-soo), Koo Dong-won (Jung Joon-won) finally responded to Ohi-young's straightforward move, creating a couple of "Ogu (Oh Yi-young + Koo Do-won)" that made viewers' hearts flutter.

As a result, the 9th episode recorded an average of 7.1 percent and up to 8 percent for households in the metropolitan area, breaking its own highest ratings once again, ranking first in all channels, including terrestrial broadcasting. In tvN's target 2049 male and female viewership, it not only broke its own highest ratings by averaging 3.6% in the Seoul metropolitan area, up to 4.2%, national standards of 3.4%, and up to 3.7%, but also rose to No. 1 in all channels, including terrestrial broadcasting. Koo Dong-won, who realized his feelings for Oi-young after a long conflict, suggested dinner to Oi-young to formally confess his feelings. Oi-young was full of expectations when she ate alone with her favorite person, and Koo was fully prepared by writing a confession letter from reservation of a restaurant and bouquet to a confession letter.

Finally, as the day that the two eagerly awaited was approaching, unexpected misfortunes broke out in succession for Koo, casting a dark cloud over his dinner appointment. Not only did the bouquet get damaged when the delivery driver got into an accident, but he also had to cancel the restaurant reservation because he mistook the date.

At the same time, Oi-young was suffering from the greed of star PD corps Jang Young-seok (Na Young-seok) and fellow Jin-won (Kim Hye-in) on Shin Won's radar, who visited Jongno Yulje Hospital to shoot a new program. Oi-young, who was filled with anger after being properly subjected to the tyranny of Jin-won, who was 180 degrees different from the front and back of the camera, sighed at the words of the old man who said she would have to cancel the appointment.

Oi-young, who encountered Koo Dong-won at the playground while returning home from a war-like day, expressed her regret that her appointment was canceled. Seeing Oi-young's drooping shoulders, Koo gave a frank confession instead of the event he had planned: "I like Oi-young." Oi-young said, "I confessed a lot, so you don't have to tell me, right?," he said, expressing his affection with a hug and a kiss. As soon as they connected, the two people's straight forward approaching each other without hesitation made the viewers excited.

On the other hand, an unexpected link between first-year residents Um Jae-il (Kang Yoo-seok) and Kim Sa-bi (Han Ye-ji) was revealed, which was surprising. While his colleagues, who were busy being beaten up by seniors and juniors at the bottom, were relieving stress at karaoke, Um Jae-il performed his hit song stage as a former idol, making them enthusiastic.

In particular, Kim Sa-bi caught the eye by releasing the fans' heart that had been hidden by releasing the cosplay of the general public to the fullest in line with Um Jae-il's song. The romantic joint stage between the disbanded idol and the fan who cheered for him made Oi-young and Pyo Nam-kyung (Cynthia) muzzle their mouths (short for covering their mouths), and after an unexpected one-on-one fan meeting, Um Jae-il and Hello Girl (Hi Boyz's fan name) Kim Sabi's face was filled with a small smile, doubling their satisfaction.

As such, the residents in 'Unseuljeon' are developing inseparably by sharing various emotions that cross love, friendship, and fan sentiment. Therefore, the change in the relationship between residents, where all the joys, sorrows, and sorrows of life coexist, is more expected.
