Busan International Film Festival Unveils Six ‘On Screen’ Drama Series for 2025 Edition

Newly established in 2021, 'On Screen' is a series invitation section that encompasses the extended flow and value of the film, providing the festival's visitors with a special viewing experience to enjoy an undisclosed drama series on screen first. This year, a total of six films were selected, three each from Korea and abroad.
`You Killed' is a new film directed by Lee Jung-rim, who has challenged new genres in each film, such as 'VIP'evil'. Again, it shows the master of genre production through suspense that cannot be predicted an inch ahead. Jeon Son-yi of 'Soulmate' and Lee Yu-mi of"Squid Game' star, unraveling the deep friendship and solidarity of the two women with vivid and individual acting.
'Dear X' tells the story of Baek A-jin, a masked woman, and Xs brutally trampled on her to get out of hell and up to the highest point. Kim Yoo-jung and Kim Young-dae perform a doom melodrama suspense that has never been seen before, and Kim Do-hoon and Lee Yeol-eum add strength with enthusiastic performances. Director Lee Eung-bok of 'Mr. Sunshine'Guardian' was co-directed by Park So-hyun.
'Takryu' is an action drama for pioneering the fate of those who dreamed differently to turn the chaotic world around the Gyeonggang River, where all the money and supplies of Joseon gathered, and live like a human being. Ro Woon, Shin Ye-eun, Park Seo-ham, and Park Ji-hwan appeared, immersively portraying the activities of those who want to change the bandwagon of the murky world, and director Choo Chang-min directed the work to enhance the completeness of the work.

What's "Romantic Anonymous" like??It is a romantic comedy that depicts the process of two men and women who have wounds and secrets in the lead role, permeating each other through chocolate. Director Sho Tsukikawa of "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas" will direct and leave a warm and sweet aftertaste.
Director Chun Jung-dao and director Xu Jiao-ran, who are the most active in China, co-directed 'The Marriage World', and two actors representing Asia, Seo Ki and Lee Shin-je, worked together as two top actors. It depicts a persistent revenge journey that begins with the revival of a dead voice phishing scammer by two mothers who lost their beloved daughter. The unexpected truth encountered on the road of revenge adds tension and draws the audience strongly.
The selection of the hottest series of works this year will be presented for the first time around the world at the 30th Busan International Film Festival, which will be held for 10 days from September 17 to 26.
