Channel A's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'We Will Replace Your Travel' (played by Jung Hoe-hyun, directed by Kang Sol) is a full-fledged healing trip emotional drama about the process of realizing true success and the meaning of life by replacing the trips requested by an idol-turned-travel reporter who has never been the center in his life. Gong Seung-yeon is the main character and former idol-turned-travel program reporter Kang Yeoreum.
In the first broadcast on the 2nd, reporter Kang Yeoreum (Gong Seung-yeon) laughed at the director's irritation whenever filming zipline, traditional markets, mudflats, hanok villages, and naturally interviewed strangers with a smile. In the summer, he was a reporter who drank liquids that he did not know when shooting, and did his best in his job, which prioritized shooting over abnormal symptoms of the body. Despite these efforts, the wounds of the summer, which were covered with brightness, were revealed when the only sponsor of 'Day Travel' was eliminated and was on the verge of abolition.
In fact, Yeoreum had the pain of failing her dream of becoming a main character on stage as a former idol, and all the cheerfulness on the outside was an effort to endure reality. However, at the end of the play, a special request called 'Deputy Travel' arrived to Yeoreum, who lost his reporter position overnight and was eroded by the pain of the past. After much consideration, the summer was commissioned to travel by proxy. Summer, who began his proxy trip on a bus to Buyeo with no cameras, scripts, or even an agency he was with, raised interest in how to overcome the reality ahead of him.
Gong Seung-yeon increased her immersion in the character with reporter Kang Yeoreum's sincere and cheerful appearance and three-dimensional acting skills that delicately moved to the inside of her when she was an idol. Kang Yeoreum's smile, drawn by Gong Seung-yeon, had the power to make viewers feel better, and the intimate tone and unstoppable gesture added empathy by projecting the social level and the appearance of a real office worker.
In the past, he led the immersion by conveying the complex feelings of an upset but helpless character in front of the situation unfolding with tears that burst endlessly and a narration that sounds even more painful. In particular, when expressing fear to Oh Sang-sik (Yoo Jun-sang), the CEO of Ogu Entertainment, he expresses his tears, trembling lips, and emotion-suppressing eyes in detail. Gong Seung-yeon's three-dimensional and meticulous enthusiasm has raised expectations for the play by not only sympathizing with the character's situation but also encouraging viewers to support it from the first broadcast.
On the other hand, it's Gong Seung-yeon's new drama "Travel", which is her first solo trip, and is drawing questions about how to go through her proxy trip' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. on Channel A.
