Um Ji-won recently met with Sports Chosun at By4M Studio in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, saying, `It was hard to wake up in the morning and check the ratings"It feels like checking my report card when I was a student."
KBS2's weekend drama that ended on the 3rd 'Please take care of the 5 Eagle brothers!' (played by Yoo Sang-sook, directed by Choi Sang-yeol and Lee Jin-ah) is a work about a ripe family story created by the eldest brother, who became the breadwinner of her husband's sudden death 10 days after marriage to five brothers with a long-standing brewery eagle sultoga, with a highest viewership rating of 21.9% (counted by Nielsen Korea, nationwide). Um Ji-won played Ma Kwang-sook, who became the owner of the eagle sultoga, at the window of Siwan Post Office in the play.
Um Ji-won said, `Only viewers in their 20s and 40s recognized me every time, and it was the first time that even older people recognized me"When I went to the restaurant during the drama, many people recognized it, so I felt very rewarded. " he said with joy.
Especially 'Please take care of the five eagle brothers!' was originally planned as a 50-episode series, but was extended to the fourth part thanks to its high popularity. Um Ji-won had no choice but to do it (extension) with the consent of all actors and staff. But on the other hand, I did well and I was able to go to the extension, so I'm thankful."
As he challenged the main character of the KBS weekend drama for the first time, he also confessed the burden of viewership. Um Ji-won "It's hard to wake up in the morning and check the ratings. Since it's filmed every day, when I woke up at around 5 a.m. and went to the set, the viewer rating came out at around 7 p.m. in Nielsen Korea. When I took the test, I felt like I was getting a report card. Every time I opened this, I felt a lot of heartache. It's not "It came out well", it's "What is it"? What should I do?' This is how I felt. It would be nice if the ratings were good, but if they weren't, I would think, "What's wrong again?" so I felt like I was getting my report card every week" he said.
