Lee Bo-young plays Woo So-jung, a veteran emergency medicine doctor, in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Merry Kills People' (played by Lee Soo-ah, directed by Park Joon-woo), which premieres today (1st).
'Mary Kills People" is a suspense drama about a doctor who helps untreatable patients die of assisted death and a detective who tracks them down.
In the play, Lee Bo-young plays Woo So-jung, a veteran emergency medical doctor who helps assisted death at the boundary between life and death. He is a person who cannot ignore the pain of patients who suffer more than death, and in order to relieve the pain, he selects certain patients and secretly provides assisted death and continues his dual life.
In particular, Woo So-jeong constantly agonizes over the death of assistants, but has her own firm beliefs. It will lead empathy with a humane aesthetic aspect caused by a good heart wanting to help a patient in pain. The heavy topic of assisted death that Woo So-jung will throw is expected to reflect on the meaning of life and death.
Lee Bo-young will return to MBC for the first time in 13 years since MBC 'Aejeong Man-se' in 2012.
