‘Law and The City’ Stars Lee Jong-suk and Mun Kayoung Head to Malaysia for Fan Event

tvN's Saturday-Sunday Drama 'Seocho-dong' (played by Lee Seung-hyun and directed by Park Seung-woo) with Lee Jong-seok, Moon Ga-young, Kang Yoo-seok, Ryu Hye-young, and Lim Sung-jae deals with the joy, sorrow and pleasure of five lawyers (lawyers who are employed by law firms and receive salaries) who go to work in Seocho-dong Law Town every day. It achieved the first TV ratings among tvN's Saturday dramas in 2025 and has since established itself as a sensitive story of office workers, maintaining the top ratings at the same time, including cable TV series, for five consecutive weeks. The 10th episode, which was recently aired, recorded up to 7.7% of households in the metropolitan area, showing the power of 'Adversaries'.
It is popular not only in Korea but also globally. Based on global OTT Rakuten Vicky, it ranks top 5 in terms of viewers in 150 countries and regions, including the United States, Brazil, France, the United Arab Emirates, and India. In addition, Disney+, Japan's largest platform, YouNext, and Taiwan's iQiyi and Friday are also ranked at the top of the service countries and regions, proving their explosive popularity.
In particular, tvN Asia, Southeast Asia's largest K-drama service channel, topped the channel for two consecutive weeks in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, achieving the highest performance among tvN dramas aired in 25 years. It is a sponsor of this event and is firmly at the top of the 'Overseas TV Show' which is currently being aired by Astro, a major Malaysian broadcaster, making us realize its popularity.
In response, CJ ENM Hong Kong organized a screening event in which Lee Jong-seok and Moon Ga-young, the main characters of 「Seochodong」, meet Malaysian fans in person. The 'Star Tour' with Lee Jong-seok and Moon Ga-young will be held for two days on August 10 and 11. On the first day, a red carpet event will be held at the main entrance of Malaysia 'Pavilion Kuala Lumpur', followed by a special place as a screening event for fans at the representative movie theater 'DADI Cinema'. The second day is followed by a press conference with a local media outlet.
