Actors Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun's 'Eunjung and Sangyeon' are about to be released.
Kim Go-eun's meeting with Park Ji-hyun, 'Do you like Brahms?', The highly anticipated Netflix series Eunjung and Sangyeon will meet viewers around the world on Sept. 12 thanks to the collaboration of director Cho Young-min of Understanding Love.
'Eunjung and Sangyeon' is a story that faces all the times of Eunjung and Sangyeon, two friends who like and admire each other the most at every moment, and who are jealous, hateful, and intertwined throughout their lives. First, the released teaser poster stimulates curiosity about the relationship between Eunjung (Kim Go-eun) and Sang-yeon (Park Ji-hyun), who have shared numerous emotions over a long period of time with a copy of 「Between envy and resentment」. Eun-jung and Sang-yeon standing in front of the blurred picture of the other person leaves a question of what kind of friends they will remain in their lives, and what kind of story they will have in their lives, who have constantly passed each other's lives.
The trailer, which was released together, begins by showing the conflict between Sang-yeon who utters harsh words to 'Eun-jung' and Eun-jung who responds to such Sang-yeon with resentful words. Then, the two people who have been together for a long time since childhood go through two breakups and eventually separate, making us wonder about the stories of those who stand between resentment and envy. Eunjung who says, "When Sangyeon is next to me, everything I have feels ordinary and insignificant" and Sangyeon who says, "That was then, that I foresaw that I could never beat this kid forever." The story of two friends, who sometimes felt longing for each other, sometimes feeling inferior, and exchanged numerous emotions, evokes empathy by showing in detail the emotions that everyone must have felt in their friends at least once.
Eun-jung's line "I want to know Sang-yeon's real heart at least once" shows the feelings of the other person who was closer than anyone else but could not know deeply and the situation of the two people who are separated due to the misunderstanding, amplifying curiosity about how Eun-jung and Sang-yeon's friendship will end. In response, director Cho Young-min, who directed the work, thought that "accompanied" was the color of the work. As I followed Eun-jung and Sang-yeon's life, I thought that I would run into my past, think of my friends, and reach my life or the life around me. I wonder if I will understand, forgive, and get to know myself.', raising expectations for the special companionship the two friends will show.
Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyun's Ho-yeon, who will portray the chronicles of various emotions that have been exchanged over a long period of time between Eun-jung and Sang-yeon, and Eun-jung and Sang-yeon ', which is expected to be a story that will make everyone reflect on their memories with their friends again, will be released on Netflix on September 12.
