Chungmuro's Hot Movie 'Ama' will run again on Netflix.

Set in the 1980s, the Netflix series `Ama' brings back the dark reality of what was called the era of sex and the lives of filmmakers who survived it.

Director Lee Hae-young, who directed the movie, said, `In the 1980s, Chungmuro was a time when numerous censorship and cutting coexisted. I wanted to realize such irony and determination from the perspective of 2025", he explained. Actress Lee Ha-nee will play the role of the best actor of the time 'Jeong Hee-ran' and newcomer Bang Hyo-rin will play the role of the new actor 'Jooae' who admires her. Actors with strong personality, such as Jin Sun-kyu and Cho Hyun-chul, will join to capture Chungmuro's splendor and behind it.

Jung Hee-ran, played by Lee Ha-nee, is a star of the time who returned with the Best Actress award at an international film festival, but she is facing the violent reality of being forced to expose herself to the CEO of a production company and pioneering her own path. He `had to pay attention from head to toe. The director even took care of Hill himself," he said, explaining the intense filming process. Director Lee Hae-young, who worked together for the second time, was able to enjoy freedom in the details that were so perfect that he could get tired of it," he recalled.

Joo-ae, played by Bang Hyo-rin, is a character who started a new life by participating in an audition for 'Madam' that happened to be held as a nightclub tap dancer. Casting after auditions with a competitive ratio of thousands to one, he left a strong impression on the director. Director Lee Hae-young said, `After many auditions, Hyorin appeared in front of me like Joo-ae. I burst into tears while reading the lines. I was touched that I met a real actor," he praised. Bang Hyo-rin "Just as Joo-ae respects joy, I also admired Lee Ha-nui." I didn't have to create it separately, but I acted as I was." Lee Ha-nui is also "Actress Hyolyn is as clear as a lotus flower. Actors who don't try to do anything and keep their colors..." He praised his potential to grow into a superstar.

Jin Seon-gyu played the role of Koo Jung-ho, who is bright in commercial sense but strong against the weak, and transformed into a villain with color. He responded with the air that he could do anything shamelessly. The director ordered that he wanted his face to shine, so he dressed up as nine layers every day. It felt like I was putting on bridal makeup," he said. Then "I want you to call me John Troubles."," he joked. Cho Hyun-chul drew a realistic character as 'Kwak In-woo', who has a big desire but no one helps him, only accumulating stress.

The work intersects the splendor of Chungmuro in the 1980s with the exploitative and violent era. Director Lee Hae-young said, `I tend to be obsessed with pretty things, and I wanted to show the barbarism contained in the splendor. I tried to follow the evidence thoroughly, but not to be trapped in it." He added that he collected data by interviewing many filmmakers at the time, but he focused on capturing the atmosphere and flow rather than reflecting specific characters as they were.

The attempt, which reinterpreted the ero movie, which was the object of sexual consumption, as a story of female solidarity, was also special for the actors. Lee Ha-nee said, `I also had a similar experience when I was a rookie, so I was even more pleased with this story. Times have changed, and now I've been excited to look at the 1980s from a different perspective." Bang Hyo-rin was so attractive that I wondered how there was such a writing. I really wanted to do it because it was so cool to see the bold female characters harming them" he said.

There was also a story about the part that was in contact with the ills of reality. Director Lee Hae-young said, `We have dealt with the past, but we are still in touch with it. There is still a character like Koo Jung-ho. But I think the movie industry is self-aware and is fixing it." Lee Ha-nee said "I have a regret that I had when I was a rookie, but I can say it firmly now. Joo-ae says the line 'I'm going to be a sunnyeon too', and that line resonated with me as well' he said.

The chemistry between the actors also drew attention. Jin Seon-gyu said "Fighting is possible only when there is affection. "I became very close to actor Hyun-chul," Cho Hyun-chul said. "Sun-kyu made the scene comfortable," he replied. The two actors' Tiki-Takae Lee Ha-nui also added expectations, saying, `It will be a pleasure for re-interpretation.'

Meanwhile, Lee Ha-nee attended a press conference face-to-face even though she was about to give birth. He was worried that he might not keep his promise because his second childbirth was just around the corner, but his affection for 'Ama' was extraordinary. I wanted to come out even though I was full," he said with a smile. "I'm in good condition and I'm going to go to my dad next week"It warmed the site by electrolysis.

'Ama', which contains the struggles of filmmakers who struggled to survive in the shadows of Chungmuro, will be released on Netflix on the 22nd.
