HYBE (352820) has announced the launch of a new male idol group in Mexico. It is the second large-scale project following the band survival audition program, and it is drawing attention as it is speeding up its efforts to target the Latin music market.

According to HYBE Latin America, a reality series filming for the next generation of global boy group members has recently begun at a customized camp in Mexico City. HYBE Latin America aims to select the final members of the boy group through the series.

The project's teaser video was also released surprisingly on Hive Label's YouTube channel and official SNS. The video shows talented participants full of passion and talent, raising expectations of global music fans.

Among the numerous applicants, 300 were first selected, and 16 of them joined the camp and will receive full-fledged training for about six months. About 30 professional trainers, including vocal coaches, choreographers, producers, and fitness coaches, help them.

The mentors who joined the project are also colorful. Director and choreographer Kenny Ortega, who directed a number of global hits such as Disney's high-teen box office series 'High School Musical' and 'Descendants', will be the executive producer. He directed Michael Jackson's posthumous documentary 'Michael Jackson's This Is It, as well as choreography for mega stages such as the Super Bowl, the Academy Awards, and the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

The lead choreographer is Charm La'Donna. As well as Kendrick Lamar's 2025 Super Bowl stage, it boasts a spectacular history of collaborating with Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez, Beyoncé and more. The vocal training will be conducted by Robert Stevenson, a vocal coach who has worked with Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Cesar. Colombian veteran creators Jaime Escallon and Lucas Haramillo lead the series' creativity as co-format creators and executive producers.

HYBE plans to build a unique global artist development model by incorporating Latin America's unique cultural and artistic senses into the systematic K-pop training system. Apart from the traditional TV format, it plans to use various channels such as streaming, social media, and music platforms.

CEO of Hive Latin America, Ga Jong-hyun, "This project is a new challenge in imagining how Latinos can be discovered, grown, and brought to the world." Building on creativity and top-notch production capabilities, we are building the foundation for the next generation of global Latin artists. Our goal is to make Latin voices resonate further and louder.'

Meanwhile, Hive Latin America is also working with American Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo on a band audition program 'Pase a la Fama'. The program is a large audition to discover Mexican bands, which will premiere on June 8 (US time).
