Park Hyungsik X Heo Junho caught...'Treasure Island' hits 17.9% of viewership, perfect ending

SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Treasure Island' set a milestone and made an all-time finale. The final episode, which aired on the 12th, was ranked '2025 miniseries Thrones' with an unprecedented viewership of 15.7% in the metropolitan area, 15.4% in the country, and 17.9% in the moment.

In particular, 2049 viewership was 4%, ranking No. 1 in all programs at the same time and No. 1 in viewership among all daytime broadcasts, ending with favorable reviews.

In the final episode, Seo Dong-ju (Park Hyung-sik) completed his life betting revenge against evil incarnation Yeom Jang-sun (Huh Jun-ho). But what came back was not exhilaration, but futility. The eyes of Seo Dong-ju, who imprisoned Yeom Jang-seon in a slush fund safe, received a memorandum of donation of all property, and released him, were filled with bitter tears of revenge. There was no winner. It was an ending where everyone fell victim to desire.

Seo Dong-ju eventually put everything down and headed for the sea. Spraying Heo Il-do's ashes, looking at two guns, he disappeared in deep remorse. Narrated by Yeo Eun-nam (Hong Hwa-yeon), who is full of lingering feelings "Dongju. "You don't have to come back very much, so come back to rest." ended the drama with an overwhelming aftertaste.

His acting skills as well as his ratings have exploded. Park Hyung-sik imprinted his presence by renewing his life character, and Heo Jun-ho opened a new horizon in acting as a villain. On top of that, the weight of veterans such as Lee Hae-young, Kim Jung-nan, Woo Hyun, and Do Ji-won and the dramatic growth of rookie Hong Hwa-yeon will be remembered as a drama carried by the entire cast.

Writer Lee Myung-hee, who wrote a solid script, director Jin Chang-gyu, who showed a delicate production, and actors who peaked in all episodes are combined to make "Treasure Island" go down in history as SBS's absolute box office hit in 2025.

Meanwhile, the fantasy historical drama Rocco starring Yook Sung-jae and Kim Ji-yeon will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on April 18.
