Actor Ahn Jae-hong expressed his respect for director Kang Hyung-chul, who directed the movie High Five.

Ahn Jae-hong met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 29th and said, `It was my dream to work with Director Kang Hyung-chul, and I am honored to make that dream come true.'

Released on the 30th, 'High Five' is a movie about what happens when five people who accidentally acquire superpowers meet with those who want their superpowers, and director Kang Hyung-chul took the megaphone. Ahn Jae-hong played as an aspiring writer who showed off his superpower of strong winds after a lung transplant.

Ahn Jae-hong said "I feel overwhelmed. I was also happy to hear that our movie was the number one overall reservation rate. The director also liked it so much. "I saw an article and I loved the expression "Green Light". I felt again that the word that the movie was given a green light ahead of its release is such a pleasant expression."

'High Five' went to the theater four years after cranking up in 2021. When asked if he was worried about anything as the release was postponed, Ahn Jae-hong said "I wasn't in a hurry because the second half is an important movie. I'm looking forward to it more than I'm worried. Since I tried superpowers for the first time through this movie, I was wondering what tone and manner it would be drawn. I always tried to have a good heart while waiting for the movie to be released," he said.

At the same time, he also revealed his unique past relationship with coach Kang. Ahn Jae-hong said, "When I was in my early 20s 15 years ago, my starring role at the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival won best picture in comedy. It was a huge award at the time, an unforgettable honor for me"The judge was the director at the time, and that was the time when 'Sunny' was released and we set a new box office record every day. It was a time when the audience exceeded 5 million and was heading toward 7 million, and the atmosphere was so great that music came out whenever the TV was turned on. It was so amazing just to be in front of such a director as a college student. At that time, the director mentioned me first when working on independent films and helped promote them. Even at film festivals and events, they invited me to my seat when I was hesitant. I had a dream of appearing in the director's work someday, and I'm honored and grateful to have achieved my dream with 'High Five'."
