On the morning of the 20th, at a certain place in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Lee Bong-ryeon met with Sports Chosun and responded to an interview to commemorate the end of 'Unseuljeon'.
Lee Bong-ryeon acted as a role model and demonic grandmother who wanted to resemble the residents most in the tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 「Life of a Korean Major」 (creator Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung/director Lee Min-soo/playwright Kim Song-hee/planned CJ ENM Studios/production Eggs is Coming) (hereinafter referred to as 「Unseuljeon」) as Seo Jeong-min, an obstetrics and gynecology professor at Jongno Yulje Hospital.
In an interview, Lee Bong-ryeon said, `Professor Seo Jung-min would have noticed the relationship between Oi-young and Koo Won early on.' `Although it was mentioned that Ham Dong-ho knew about it, Seo Jung-min also said that it was a situation that was fully understood through the changes and atmosphere of the two.'
In the play, Oi-young and Koo Do-won secretly continue their relationship in the hospital. However, at the end of the play, the two were depicted acknowledging their feelings and moving toward an open relationship, drawing great attention from viewers. In response, Lee Bong-ryeon emphasized, "'It's possible because it's a drama, but the hospital space is also a place where you react more sensitively and notice each other than you think.'"
The scene where Professor Seo Jeong-min presented Koo with 'a bottle of alcohol' in the last episode also became a hot topic. Regarding the scene, Lee Bong-ryeon said, `From the beginning of the play, Seo Jung-min once said that he would give a bottle of alcohol if one of his majors made a great growth. At the end, when I saw Koo Do-won do a nice job or finish, I thought in my mind that it's time to give it to him," he added.
In fact, at the time of filming the scene, there was no setting that they officially knew about their relationship. However, as I got closer to the second half, I acted with the premise that I would know to some extent even as an actor. "Koo Won-won is such a catchy character that he would have been even more noticeable."
Lee Bong-ryeon said, "In fact, in the early days of society, there are people who feel 's good feeling'. He also mentioned the synchronicity with Seo Jeong-min, saying, "I tend to abuse someone's goodness or quickly recognize emotions that are revealed in unexpected ways even in reality."
Meanwhile, 'Unseuljeon' ended on the 18th. The final episode's viewership averaged 8.6% and up to 10% based on households in the metropolitan area, 8.1% and up to 9.2% based on national households (based on paid platforms integrated with cable, IPTV, and satellite/provided by Nielsen Korea), breaking its own record.
