Director Lee Joon-ho, Kim Min-ha, Kim Min-seok, Kwon Kwon Sol, Lee Chang-hoon, Kim Jae-hwa, Kim Song-il, Lee Sang-jin, Kim Ji-young, Kim Sang-ho, Kim Sang-ho, Mu Jin-sung, Kim Young-ok, Park Sung-yeon, Kwon Eun-sung, and Sung Dong-il, who will be responsible for the early immersion of the play with special appearances. The scene of the day was completely immersed in each character in the hot energy created by the actors who trusted and watched, creating a sense of immersion as if they had moved to 1997 as if they were traveling in time.
Lee Joon-ho and Kim Min-ha were at the center of the script reading on this day. Lee Joon-ho, who plays the role of Kang Tae-pung, who is growing from a freewheeling orange youth to a businessman in the middle of the IMF crisis, overwhelmed the scene with his unique confident eyes and solid dialogue tone. It expresses emotions that vary from moment to moment in detail, sometimes revealing the aspect of a powerful and sometimes serious typhoon, increasing the level of immersion in the field. Lee Joon-ho's splendid comeback, which created a number of global box office hits and made him look forward to his next movie, was expected.
Kim Min-ha decomposed into the K-first daughter who is responsible for the livelihood of her family and the dream of becoming a boss man, and depicted delicate emotional lines closely. In particular, she fully reproduced the Seoul accent of that time, creating a sense of reality that seemed to have survived 1997, adding to the expectation of how her inner workings, which are like actors with the times, will be displayed in this work. As such, the two actors fully immersed in their characters showed high-quality breathing from the reading stage, foreshadowing the weight and excitement of the youth narrative that 'Taepung Corporation' will present.
Actor Kim Min-seok, who has been loved for his solid acting skills and unique charm, played the role of Wang Nam-mo from the Orange people who occupied Apgujeong-dong and took over Apgujeong-dong. Having captivated the scene with his unique free-spirited energy and slick charm, he is expected to take over the small screen following Apgujeong, and sometimes he is in charge of a romance that adds excitement to the play's youth narrative.
Subsequently, the white-collar corps that constitutes the "Taepung Corporation" also attracted attention. Lee Chang-hoon as the sales department manager 'Gomajin', Kim Jae-hwa as the general affairs department manager 'Chaseon', Kim Song-il as the management department director 'Yoo Myung-gwan', and Lee Sang-jin as the logistics department deputy 'Delivery' dominated the scene with characters full of personality. It is a life-oriented acting that seems to have moved the actual office landscape, and it has created laughter and empathy at the same time. In response, Lee Joon-ho also said, `I look forward to the day when I shoot with Taepung Corporation seniors the most. I think it will be a great pleasure for viewers to see realistic and humorous sides," he said, adding to expectations for strong and solid teamwork like a typhoon.
Sung Dong-il and Kim Ji-young, who appear as a family of typhoons, also shone. Sung Dong-il, who plays the role of Kang Jin-young, the father of the typhoon who is in charge of the early part of the play with a special appearance, is a figure of a dragon in Gaecheon, heavy-handedly embodying the face of his father, who carried a blunt love for his son and the glory and downfall of an era at the same time. On top of that, Kim Ji-young, who plays the role of Typhoon's mother "Jeong Jeong-mi," captures both warmth and reality by holding out to protect her son even after facing the collapse of a glamorous Gangnam housewife overnight. The two actors vividly revived the joys, sorrows, and sorrows of their parents' generation, further raising the emotions of the reading scene.
Mi-sun and her mother's family showed another outcome of the times. Kwon So-sol, who plays Mi-sun's younger brother 'Oh Mi-ho', delicately unraveled the two sides of the '90s-style quinka, which has a softer inner than anyone else in its rough and sharp appearance, adding vitality to the play. Kim Young-ok, who plays the role of the grandmother 'Yumbyeoni', gave a deep resonance between generations with her sharp talk and affectionate acting at the same time. Kwon Eun-sung, who plays the youngest 'Obum', is an innocent elementary school student who fell in love with a top and a tazo, showing his innocence that shines even in small daily lives, creating laughter and empathy. On top of that, Park Sung-yeon, who plays the role of a male mother 'Eulnyeo', depicted the survival of the IMF generation realistically with the hardness of a living person who has endured by swallowing tears for his children even in a difficult life.
The appearance of the rival father and son in "Taepung Corporation" brought tension to the play. Kim Sang-ho as Pyo Sang-seon's representative 'Pyo Park-ho' and his son 'Expression Jun'Ingenuity overwhelmed the scene with sharp charisma and tight confrontation. Their appearance is expected to double the dramatic fun of the drama by acting as another variable and tension point in the path ahead of typhoons and Miseon.
The production team said "'Taepung Corporation' is a drama that captures the heart-wrenching survival of ordinary people who survived the IMF."It will provide memories of survival to Generation X who survived 1997, and MZ generation with empathy and comfort to understand and respect their parents." We hope that the `Taepung spirit' of those days, which advanced after overcoming the crisis, will reach the viewers living today with hope and courage as well,' he said. "We ask for a lot of anticipation and attention to the upcoming episode 'Taepung Corporation' which will premiere in October."
tvN's new Saturday drama `Taepung Corporation' depicts the struggle of a novice boss man `Kang Tae-pung' who became the president of an IMF, a trading company with no employees, no money or nothing to sell in 1997. Director Lee Na-jung, who caught both productivity and box office hits with sensuous and immersive directions, is drawing attention as she is not limited to certain genres such as dramas 'Ssam, My Way', 'If You Like It','Mine','Mine','Mine','Please Take Care of This Life as well'. It will premiere on tvN in October.
