'Warts', which will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on September 5, is a high-density thriller that pursues the copycat crime that took place more than 20 years after the serial killer 'Warts' was caught. In the play, the detective conducts a joint investigation with the mother and serial killer who he has hated all his life, and heralds a tense story.
Director Byun Young-joo of the film 『Hwacha" and writer Lee Young-jong of 『Seoul Spring』 are in sync, and are expected to catch viewers' attention with the unconventional setting of cooperation between a mother of a brutal killer and a detective son. In particular, Ko Hyun-jung has made a drastic transformation into the role of Jung In-shin, a serial killer, raising expectations for small screen this fall.
As for the reason for choosing the work, Ko Hyun-jung said, "The story unfolding every time was quite attractive. As I fell in love with it, I lost track of time. "I was curious about the synergy that Lee Young-jong's close narrative and Byun Young-joo's sensuous production would create" he said. "As an actor, I always wanted to participate in a good work, so I decided to appear without hesitation."," he stressed.
In addition, regarding his work with director Byun Young-joo "He is a person with strong leadership and unique wit at the same time. Directions from the gallery raised the level of completion of the work and even served as the spiritual support of the scene.
