On the 18th, the 30th Busan International Film Festival unveiled the selected works of the 'Today of Korean Film - Special Premiere' section, which shows the achievements and trends of contemporary Korean films.
'Today of Korean Film - Special Premiere' is a section that presents the latest Korean commercial films with special popular appeal and status. The section, which has introduced topical films that draw the attention of audiences every year, further raises expectations by releasing five Korean films that cannot be missed this year.
The movie 'The Terror Live'(13)'Omniscient Reader's View'(25) Director Kim Byung-woo's new film 'Great Flood' will be released for the first time in the world. It is a work that depicts a story of characters struggling to survive in an unprecedented disaster situation called 'Great Flood'. Kim Da-mi, who plays Anna, an artificial intelligence researcher, and Park Hae-soo, who plays Hee-jo, the human resource security team of the artificial intelligence research institute, will each perform enthusiastically to add a sense of immersion.
Director Ra Hee-chan's comic action 'Boss'(25) depicts a desperate confrontation between members of the organization to fiercely concede their boss positions to each other for their respective dreams ahead of the election of the next boss whose future is at stake. Cho Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, and Lee Kyu-hyung will double the fun with their trusted and watched passionate performances.
Director Jungwoo Ha's new work 'People Upstairs'(25), which is active as a director and actor, tells an unpredictable story that occurs every night when the upper and lower couples have a night's dinner together due to the unusual noise between floors. In particular, Jungwoo Ha plays Kim and participates as a director and actor at the same time to enhance the completeness of the work.
The movie 'Crayon Shin-chan'(25), which depicts a story after the movie 'Wind(09), will make its debut in Busan. It is a work about the growth story of Shin-chan, who went to Seoul to study with the dream of becoming a movie star, and it is the first directions written by Jung-woo, who is also the original author of 'Wind' (09), and is expected to be co-directed by director Oh Sung-ho, who won three gold medals at the 2021 Busan International Film Festival with 'That Winter, I'm 22'.
Directed by Lee Hwan, 'Project Y'(25) depicts the dangerous crimes of two women surrounding black money and hidden gold bars. Han So-hee, who showed high-level action through the drama `My Name'(21), and Jeon Jong-seo, who showed a clear presence in each work, such as the movie 『Ballerina"(23) and the drama 『Ballet』(22), provide a lot of tension.
The 30th Busan International Film Festival, which is drawing attention by unveiling the lineup of selected works in the 'Today of Korean Film - Special Premiere' section, will be held for 10 days from September 17th to 26th around the Seoul Cinema Center.
