Actor Jung Sung-il told the story of how he came to sympathize with the character Lee Young-hoon in the movie 'Killer Report'.

Jung Sung-il met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 4th and said, "When I was 20, my sister had a similar medical accident."At that time, I was so angry that I made a disturbance in the hospital, not a disturbance."

「Killer Report」, which will be released on the 5th, is a story that takes place when psychiatrist Younghoon asks veteran reporter Sun-joo, who is thirsty for the scoop, for an interview in which he confesses to serial murder, and director Cho Young-joon of"Chabbi" and"Song of the Sun" took the megaphone.

Jung Sung-il said about how he joined 'Killer Report'"I'm not good at putting up with being hungry. I used up my lunch time during the practice of the play 'Interview' and read the entire script out of curiosity. Coincidentally, the household ritual written in the book at the time was also 'Interview'. I was so fond of the book that I called my agency and conveyed my intention to participate in the work. When I read the script, I thought 'So how does the following flow?' so I watched it from beginning to end. Rather, after joining the work, the character came to think about how to draw it later. "

Jung Sung-il played Lee Young-hoon, a serial killer and psychiatrist, and played an anti-war character in the play. He had a lot of thoughts about how to play the character. Being a serial killer, I started with 'How can I understand this character?' It's not the range I can imagine other than killing someone. I wasn't very young, but when I was 20, my sister had a similar medical accident. I was so angry at the time that I made a little fuss, not a disturbance. Then I imagined 'What if something wrong had happened to my sister?' Thinking about it like that, I also thought that Younghoon could make that choice. I have come to agree that if someone harms the person I care about the most in the world, I can do that again. I also feel like I have no choice but to start acting based on the case I knew."
