In the eighth episode of KBS2's weekend drama `The Brilliant Days' (played by So Hyun-kyung, director Kim Hyung-seok) on the 31st, the conflict began in earnest as Lee Ji-hyuk (Jung Il-woo), who dreams of making a comeback, settled in a cafe where Ji-oh (Jeong In-sun) works. The broadcast's viewership was 16.3% (provided by Nielsen Korea, based on the total number of households nationwide), breaking its own highest ratings once again. It also topped the overwhelming weekend's broadcasts with a hot upward march.
On this day's broadcast, Eun-oh was surprised by Ji-hyuk, who suddenly appeared at the cafe and said he would stay overnight. She was going to kick out the next day, but was forced to back down because Jihyuk had already received permission from cafe owner Chung Hyun-soo (Kim Young-ah) to use the warehouse. The news of Ji-hyuk's return was immediately delivered to Park Sung-jae (Yoon Hyun-min), and Sung-jae hurriedly came to the cafe and reunited with Ji-hyuk. Ji-hyuk showed an indifferent attitude while turning a blind eye to Sung-jae's concerns, but asked his family to keep it a secret.
Lee Sang-chul (Cheon Ho-jin) took out the envelope of money left by Ji-hyuk and worried about his son. However, when Kim Da-jung (Kim Hee-jung) saw it, her feelings, which she had suppressed, exploded, worried that Ji-hyuk would not even have living expenses, and eventually headed to her home after the conflict. When her father, Kim Jang-soo (Yoon Joo-sang), noticed this, consoled him, he finally relieved himself thanks to Ji-hyuk's call.
Igane then sought a comeback in his own way. The youngest Lee Soo-bin (Shin Soo-hyun) once again asked Sungjae for help when the video in which Sungjae appeared received high views. Sangchul told his wife, Dajung, that he would challenge his electric technician license, and Dajung opposed it for a while, but eventually respected his will. The second, Lee Ji-wan (Bang Sang-yeon), was also faithful to the role of Park Young-ra (Park Jeong-yeon) as a bodyguard and driver, but she exploded at Young-ra's attitude toward her and left. However, Sungjae, who trusted him, came to mind and went straight back to Young-ra, and the two got closer as they stood by her, who was scared.
Ko Sung-hee (Lee Tae-ran), who was usually friendly, was as determined as her daughter Young-ra. From Young-ra's appearance to her use as an acting painter, she emphasized that it was all for her daughter Young-ra. He also showed an unexpected cold side, pointing out the smell of perfume to his secretary and saying "Don't make it obvious that you don't have any."
Jihyuk decorated the cafe warehouse as a full-fledged work space and immersed himself in preparing for the business by putting in office supplies and household items. However, Eun-oh, who had to confront him every day in the same space, was uncomfortable, dismissing Ji-hyuk's actions as bluffing, and even his business will.
At the end of the broadcast, Ji-hyuk took advantage of the cafe's holiday to make a window in the warehouse and pierced the wall alone. Eun-oh, who just entered the cafe for what he was asked to do, witnessed the scene and eventually exploded the accumulated dissatisfaction. Finally, Eun-oh announced that he would quit the cafe, making him look forward to the exciting next week's broadcast.
Meanwhile, KBS2 'Splendid Days' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m.
