CGV announced on the 21st that it will exclusively screen a short film directed and starring actor Lee Jung-hyun as the fifth film of the short film screening project 「SHORTS HOUSE」.
'Shorts House' is a CGV regular screening project that presents domestic and foreign short films in theaters and began last year to mark the 20th anniversary of the art house. Starting with director Kim Jong-kwan's 'Polaroid Operation', a total of four episodes were presented, including 'Happy End'Sugar Glass Bottle' and 'The Chicken' and 'Substance' directed by Coralee Parza.
The movie is Lee Jung-hyun's first director, script, and lead roles. In addition to the official invitation to the Korean Cinema section of the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, it was invited to the Mizansen Short Film Festival, Women's Human Rights Film Festival, and Jeju Women's Film Festival to be recognized for its cinematic quality and completeness.
The movie tells the story of Su-mi (Lee Jung-hyun), who was voluntarily kicked out of the hospital due to her mother's overdue treatment expenses, promising her mother's flower viewing tour. It leaves a short but intense lingering image with a delicate production, and the autobiographical experience of director Lee Jung-hyun is melted to add a sense of reality and depth of emotion.
Starting from the 22nd, 'I'm Going to Play with Flowers' will be screened at all 16 art houses nationwide, including CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall. The running time is 28 minutes, and the ticket price is 3,000 won.
