The movie "A Woman in a White Car" is ready to meet with domestic audiences for the first time in three and a half years.

The press and distribution premiere of the movie 'Woman in a White Car' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 27th. Actors Jung Ryeo-won, Lee Jung-eun and Ko Hye-jin attended the scene.

Released on the 29th, 'Woman in a White Car' is a suspense thriller in which Do-kyung, who came to the hospital with her bloody sister, makes a confusing statement to police Hyun-joo, approaching the truth of the day with the culprit whom everyone remembers differently, and director Ko Hye-jin took the megaphone.




Director Ko has met with the public in JTBC dramas 'The Prosecutor's Civil War', 'Rocool', 'People at the Korea Meteorological Administration: The Brutal History of Company Love' and 'My Youth'. Prior to its release, 'Women in White Cars' was invited to the 22nd San Diego International Film Festival, the 66th London Film Festival, and the 26th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.

Director Koh "This movie was shot over just two weeks when COVID-19 reached its peak in February 2022. It's a movie taken by actors and staff suffering in the cold winter, and I'm happy to be in the theater for the first time in three and a half years. I was happy when I showed it to the audience at the festival, but I am truly honored to be released in domestic theaters."

Jeong Ryeo-won and Lee Jung-eun's first acting chemistry is also drawing attention from the audience. Jeong Ryeo-won played the writer Do-kyung, who searches for the truth in confusing memories. He met with the audience for the first time in seven years since the movie 'Gate' (2018), saying, `It's been a long time since I've greeted you on screen. Maybe because I didn't imagine it, I feel like I received a huge gift. Of course, the score is important, but I feel like my wish has come true just by having an opportunity to show my work, and I'm so happy."




About the difficulties while filming "The first cut is a scene where she cries out to her sister in the room to open the door. In the background, the director put such a hard scene in the first cut to get discipline from the actor. He said, "'I did it.'" As my mind became solemn, I was disciplined from then on. After filming the scene, I felt like I did a big homework, and the interpretation of the character became faster. I understand why the director put the shoes in the beginning. I tried to take off my shoes as late as possible because it was so cold when filming."

Lee Jung-eun played the role of police Hyun-joo, who digs into the dark truth of the case. He filmed "2022 with a lot of care despite the cold weather when COVID-19 was so severe."I took it just before the female narrative came out, and it was fun when I read the scenario. And most of all, it was fun to work with director Ko, who joined this film."

"It was an honor to be able to see the movie on the big screen," he said of how he felt about watching the movie in the theater. "I thought I had a hard time, but I think I had a hard time only with my mouth. The actors who filmed together also suffered a lot. I'm usually afraid of water, but Hyun-joo is a friend who suffers from trauma due to family violence with water. I thought I could die with my nose stuck in the water of a plate, and I was a little scared. Still, I was satisfied when I saw the results."

Finally, director Ko also explained the reason for casting Jeong Ryeo-won and Lee Jung-eun. He said "They are the two actors who fell in love with me personally while I was in a supporting role. From the planning stage of the work, I worked with the artist with the two in mind.
