'Walking On Thin Ice' Ends with Emotional Finale Highlighting Crime, Revenge, and Moral Dilemmas

'Eunsu Good Day' ended the grand finale with a well-made ending that left a deep lingering impression to the end.

In the final episode of KBS2's Saturday-Sunday mini-series 'Eun Soo Good Day' (scripted by Jeon Young-shin, director Song Hyun-wook), Kang Eun-soo (Lee Young-ae) and Lee Kyung-kyung (Kim Young-kwang) returned to their daily lives after paying for all their sins, but they were once again at a crossroads of choice and conflict. Jang Tae-gu (Park Yong-woo) and Kang Hwirim (Sang Do-woo) met a tragic end at the end of the mad dash and ended up with a causal retribution.

According to viewer rating research firm Nielsen Korea, the final episode recorded 5.0% of the total households nationwide, proving the power of the well-made human thriller until the end. In particular, the scene where Eun-soo, who paid for the crime, threw the remaining medicine into the toilet and lowered the water down, recorded the highest viewership rate of 6.2% per minute, ending the six-week long journey with enthusiastic responses from viewers.




On the show, Park Do-jin (Bae Soo-bin) was shot by Tae-gu and died instead to protect Eun-soo. Taegu again aimed at Eun-soo, but failed because the bullet ran out and "It would be hell to live from now on. It disappeared, leaving the words like me. After Do-jin's funeral, Eun-soo was eventually arrested by the police in an emergency and went to the court of law.

Lee Kyung-eun, who was under police investigation, took all the crimes on her own. He said "I suggested the drug deal firstGyeong-do (Kwon Ji-woo), who tried to protect Eun-soo, but recognized Lee Kyung's false statement, asked for cooperation to arrest Tae-gu.

Taegu, who was publicly wanted, was chased after fellow police officers for murder and escape. He hid in a hiding place with his injured body, hovering around his son's school, preparing to stow away with money and medicine taken from Eun-soo. However, Taegu, who saw Eun-soo's video letter saying she had kidnapped her son, headed to Eun-soo's place in madness.




Taegu, who was caught in the trap, fled with Eun-soo as a hostage even when he was surrounded by police, and even caused a crash and eventually led to catastrophe. Taegu, who lost consciousness, went missing after falling into the river after being hit by a bullet fired by a longitude, and was found as a white bone body a year later, ending the tragedy.

Eun-soo was imprisoned and paid for his crime. Writing letters to her daughter who didn't reply every day and looking back on the past, she was released from prison a year later. Eun-soo, who visited Lee Kyung in prison, said "Don't you regret it? There was something I had to do```````I wanted to do something for you without paying for it," he smiled calmly.

Lee Kyung destroyed the Kang Hwirim family with carefully built evidence. After a massive financial disaster that led to a plunge in stock prices and a collapse in management rights, Hweerim was arrested by police and ended up with a causal retribution. Eun-soo, who made a living by working as a cleaning part-time job, learned of Lee Kyung's success in revenge through the news. After a while, Lee Kyung-eun came to Eun-soo and sold the stock and handed him a Boston bag with the remaining money, saying, `Thanks to you, I was able to do it as planned. I'll help you if I can." Eun-su "I shouldn't have even started, but I was glad you were the one who was with me. I hope you live well." and wept, and the two exchanged their last greetings, wishing each other happiness.




Eun-soo, who was organizing her moving, smiled for a moment when she heard the news of the discovery of Taegu's white bone body. In particular, Gretel pushed the witch into the furnace. But were they okay?Eun-su's narration of " adds to the lingering effects of the play, giving tension until the end. In addition, Eun-soo found the medicine he had hidden under the blanket and was deeply troubled once again.

Lee Kyung, who finished his revenge, returned to his family's arms, but the calm did not last long. It has been revealed that his father agreed with the Kang Hwirim family even though he knew Lee Kyung was framed 10 years ago. Lee Kyung was overcome with deep despair and betrayal when his father said, "'You can't make my family collapse because of you.'"

At the end of the broadcast, Lee Kyung-eun, who released the last medicine in her pocket, and Eun-soo, who threw the remaining medicine into the toilet, smiled subtly. Eun-su's last words, "'Can a human being who crossed the line once again cross the line when the same situation comes?' left a deep lingering impression on viewers, asking back the human instinct in a moral dilemma.

The end of the chapter came with a well-made ending that raised social alarm through the dangers of drugs and the tragedy caused by the endless desires of humans. In their respective desires to protect their families, Eun-soo, Lee Kyung-kyung, and Tae-gu's fate intertwined and plunged into the bondage of tragedy, deeply unraveling the moral dilemma within humans. Lee Young-ae, Kim Young-kwang, and Park Yong-woo's spectacular performance, director Song Hyun-wook's sensuous production, and writer Jeon Young-shin's meticulous writing skills were combined to overwhelm the small screen with breathtaking twists and heavy messages until the end.
